Description
A 19th century American New England hand painted ladderback chair. Ebonised ash construction gilt parcel painted with cartouche scene of New England barn. The chair with turned legs united by stretchers having a rush weave seat with bow shaped elbow supports and gilded ladderback rest. Measures111cms high

Good, slight rubbing of paintwork due to age and the rush seating whilst old is not original
