Description

A welsh loving spoon, carved by a member of the welsh guards, in ypres in 1917
This spoon is a very beautifully crafted item, the inscriptions are a reminder of the horrors of war and the spirit of the soldiers in the trenches . The paper label refers to the cloth hall in ypres that was completely destroyed by the fighting, and the wood used for the spoon was from this building.
