early 20th Century Chinese carved hardwood lidded robe box / case of rectangular form, the cover carved with a large central cartouche populated by a dragon in flight amongst clouds, flanked to the corners with detailed butterflies and floral arrangements, the sides and base decorated with further carved vignettes of still life scenes of potted plants and items from the scholar's table etc, with Greek key and flowering prunus borders.
