A late 19th century Chinese carved ivory chess set of red and white figural pieces, the king 11 cms contained in a folding black lacquered papier mache box decorated in gilt, the inner with a backgammon boardMeasuring

Condition
The box has various knocks and so do the chess set, please see photos, and please don’t hesitate to ring for a full report if required, there are too many tiny faults to list here.
