A pair of wonderful oil paintings on canvass in gilt gesso frames, the first depicts a large steam driven ship sailing out of the harbour and the second showing the foreground older sailing vessels to the front, symbolising the emergence of the Industrial Age superceeding the age of sail, beautifully painted with a lightness of touch and lighting. Possibly Dutch in origin

Good overall, slight wear to the frames pictures are fine.
